With two yellows and no clue, I made a bit of a desperate guess on my third go, mostly to see what would happen than anything else. Against all odds, this turned a pair of yellows into greens and brought up two fresh letters as well—including one I really didn’t expect to see. With those before me, the answer came easily on the next turn.

Intel Lunar Lake CPU with a curious configuration spotted running Windows-

An Intel Lunar Lake engineering sample CPU has been spotted running Windows. That’s hardly surprising during the development phase of any CPU, but this one is made more interesting given the screenshot reveals some key specifications regarding its cache configuration and Hyperthreading (or lack thereof).

The leak comes courtesy of XZiar, (via @9550pro and Tom’s Hardware). It shows a screenshot of the Windows Task Manager featuring some specifications of a Lunar Lake A1 engineering sample. The tested CPU has eight cores and eight threads, meaning Hyperthreading is not present. It’s believed the core configuration consists of four P-cores and four E-cores.

Alan Wake 2 will be ‘Remedy’s first survival horror game’ and feels like it’s taking cues from Resident Evil-

For a game releasing in October, we haven’t seen much of Alan Wake 2 so far—and the footage revealed at Summer Games Fest was a fairly short slice. But it’s already striking to me how much more of a full-blooded horror game it seems like compared to the original. 

“Alan Wake 2 is Remedy’s first survival horror game,” says creator Sam Lake, and certainly as new protagonist Saga Anderson creeps her way through an abandoned house in the woods, the atmosphere is thick with dread. It’s almost a relief when an imposing, supernaturally-corrupted axe murderer bursts through the wall. As Saga pumps bullet after bullet into the figure, who steadily advances like Jason Voorhees, barely seeming to care, there are echoes of the recent Resident Evil remakes to my eyes.
