Marvel Snap developer seeking new publisher to avoid another U.S. ban

Marvel Snap is back online in the United States but developer Second Dinner is searching for a new publisher to ensure the game remains available in the country.

The title was briefly banned in the region due to its links with TikTok owner ByteDance. Marvel Snap is published by Nuverse, which is a subsidiary of the Chinese company.

Now, Second Dinner has confirmed the title has returned but explained it wants to avoid a repeat scenario. At present, that means ditching Nuverse in favor of another publisher.

New Steam tweaks let devs highlight related games and DLC on store pages

Valve has added new discoverability features to Steam for studios. These changes, according to Valve, were made based on explicit feedback provided by developers, some during Gamescom earlier in August.

Both changes give studios control of what related items appear on a title's store page. Now, they can choose what studio, franchise, or publisher gets highlighted underneath a written description.

Finnish developer Remedy has confirmed that Alan Wake 2 is now in “full production” and is already playable from start to finish.

As part of Remedy’s latest earnings briefing, the company said, “The game will soon have all content in place, and it is playable from start to finish.”

The next phase of development will be to get the game polished up and ready for launch, Remedy said. “Alan Wake is a unique brand that holds high value for the company today,” the company said.
